The Christopher Project

The Christopher Unit CP01
Taking Flashing Lights and Sirens into the 21'st Century
Developed for Emergency Vehicles - This is an electronic system to attempt to reconcile the need for Emergency Vehicles to respond to the scene of an accident as fast as possible with the need to protect the safety of the public at all times. Saving lives but can also be self financing by preventing accidents.
HOW IT WORKS
Taking the idea of using the sound of two tone sirens.
Christopher broadcasts a verbal warning message into the persons own vehicle through their own vehicle radio. This might interrupt their listening pleasure for a few moments but no more disruptive than the noise of sirens.
Using the well known principles of the radio receiver the unit is designed to interrupt 8 of the most popular FM radio stations in an area. Christopher will also interrupt tapes and CD's on most modern radio units. The message travels between 100 and 200 meters subject to local conditions via a narrow field directional antenna. This gives the traffic in the path of a fast approaching emergency vehicle vital seconds to safely move clear without panic near miss or collision.
Clever technology and responsible use by emergency vehicle drivers opens a line of verbal communication from a Police vehicle to a persons car warning of CRASH AHEAD SLOW - HARD SHOULDER BLOCKED .
